the Manoir Richelieu and the Charlevoix Region of Quebec |
The Manoir
Richelieu is one of Canada's top resort
hotels. Amenities include 3 heated pools, a full 18-hole golf
course, horseback riding, luxurious spa, fully-equipped exercise
rooms, tennis, a casino, etc. The cuisine is French and Québecois,
with produce and specialties from the local Charlevoix area,
known as the gastronomic heart of Quebec. The Charlevoix region
offers spectacular views of the St-Lawrence River, the nearby

unexcelled hiking, whale-watching, the old world charm of

There are several connecting flights daily to the Jean

| Transportation
to and from Quebec City Airport |
IMPORTANT:
Chartered
busses will leave the Quebec City Airport on Sunday,
May 25 at 15:00h, 16:00h
and 20:30h. In addition,
minivans will be at the airport until late in the
evening for those whose flights arrive late. Look
for the "CALPHAD" sign in the airport lobby.
The trip to the Manoir Richelieu (128km) will take
1½ to 2 hours. |
The
conference will end at noon on Friday,
May 30. Bus transportation will be provided from
the Manoir Richelieu to the Quebec City airport
Friday at 9:00h, 12:30h
and 14:00h. For those
who have to catch an earlier flight or who might
want to leave Thursday, LIMITED minivan transportation
will be available. The minivan transportation schedule
will be fixed during the meeting based upon specific
requirements.

to drive to the Manoir Richelieu |
From
Quebec City Airport, follow route #138 east up the north
shore of the St-Lawrence River for approximately 128 km
to La Malbaie-Pointe au Pic. Detailed driving instructions
are found on the website of the Manoir
Richelieu.
If
you are driving from the USA, you can cross to north shore
of the St-Lawrence River either by bridge at Quebec City
or, further east, by ferry from Rivière-du-Loup (south
shore) to St-Siméon (north shore). Ferry schedules
and prices are found on the website of the Manoir
Richelieu.

transportation to the Manoir |
Intercar Busses leave three
times a day (9h45 and 18h00 every day - 12h45 and 17h Fridays
only - 15h every day but Fridays) from the public bus terminal
in downtown Quebec City (at La Gare du Palais - 320, Abraham-Martin
Street - (418) 525-3000) to La Malbaie (Pointe-au-Pic),
Québec.The bus terminal at La Malbaie is located
at 330, boul. de la Comporté. The one-way rate is
CAN$24,95 all taxes included and the trip takes approximately
2 hours. However, when purchasing your ticket, we recommend
that you ask for the Casino shuttle (which is approximately
5$ more per ticket). You will have a seat reserved in the
shuttle (usually a taxi) from the La Malbaie bus station
to the Charlevoix Casino (The Casino is next door to the
Manoir Richelieu). For an up-to-date schedule, check the

Orlean Express Busses leave
every hour the Montreal Terminus for Quebec. The one-way

A taxi from Quebec City to the Manoir Richelieu (149km) will
cost approximately CAN$250.00.

| Children
at the Manoir Richelieu |
There
is no accommodation fee for children 18 years of age and under
who share a room with their parents. Children 13 to 18 purchase
meals at full price from the regular hotel menu. Children
6 to 12 pay 50% of the regular menu prices or full price on
the children's menu. Children 5 and under get complimentary
meals based on the children's menu. If you are planning on
bringing children, we suggest that you contact
the hotel
beforehand.
